Vernon E. Hayslette

Clintonville-Vernon E. Hayslette, 73, passed Thursday, June 26, 2014.

Born Feb. 22, 1941, in Charleston, WV, he was the son of the late John Raymond and Frances Rigsby Hayslett.

He is survived by: sons, Todd Hayslette of Clintonville and Brad Havslette and wife Francine of Lake Luzerne, NY; granddaughters, Kristina and Rachel Hayslette of Lake Luzeme, NY; and sister, Lee Kanter of West Bloomfield, MI.

Vernon was employed by the world renowned E.F. MacDonald Company as a top management consultant. He also enjoyed being a farmer and had a passion for researching family history. He was a member of the Greenbrier County Planning Commission. Vernon loved history and discussing it, as well as local issues, with family, friends and neighbors. Vernon also loved and enjoyed going to Disney World with his granddaughters.

The Hayslette family would like to thank HospiceCare and staff for their wonderfu1 care and respect of our father in his and our time of need.

Graveside services were held on Tuesday, July 1, in Sunrise Chapel Cemetery at Clintonville.

In lieu of flowers, the family reguests donations to be made to HospiceCare, Inc., 223 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
