Steven D. Clower of Clintonville, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Father’s Day, June 15, 2025, in his home surrounded by family.
Steve was born in Rainelle on May 4, 1951, and is proceeded in death by his parents, William and Verla Clower, brothers, James and Randy, and sister-in-law Judy.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara; his children Scott (Robin) Clower, Beth (Brian) Walkup. Grandchildren: Zack (Lyndsay) Walkup, Tabitha (Justin) Stitt, Gabby Clower, and Cody Walkup (Ariel); and great-granddaughter, Nora Mae.
Surviving siblings including in-laws that he loved as his own: Terry (Teresa) Clower, Darlene (Maynard) Piercy, Anne Loudermilk, Pete (Bill) Sears, Dave Loudermilk. Steve has 22 nieces and nephews, 22 great-nieces and nephews, 14 great-great-nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
Steve was a long-time member of Sewell Valley Baptist Church, Rainelle, WV. He was a retired butcher who knew just about everyone in the town. He loved to share his love for the Lord. Steve loved his friends and neighbors.
Steve took great pride in his family and his Yorkie, Opey. He loved to laugh, reminisce, watch movies and ball games.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, June 21, at Sewell Valley Baptist Church in Rainelle with Pastor Fred Fryar and Pastor Brian Copeland officiating.
Visitation is from 12 noon until time of service at the church.
