Scherry McCormick Bostic-Shaffer

Lewisburg-Scherry McCormick Bostic-Shaffer, 61, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019, at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.

Scherry was born Nov. 15, 1957, in Ronceverte, the daughter of Elzie H. and Gladys Shires McCormick.

She was of the Baptist Faith, a former member of the Ronceverte Lions Club and had worked as a comptroller with District 9 of the WV Department of Highways.

Survivors include her husband, Robert D. Shaffer; son, Justin Bostic and wife Courtney of Ronceverte; grandchildren, Harper and Wyatt Bostic; sisters, Debbie Sessions and husband Tommy of Aiken, SC and Arlene Canterbury and husband Bob of Lewisburg; brother, Keith McCormick and wife Sheila of Lewisburg; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, Mar. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg.
