The annual Ronceverte Food Truck Festival returns on Friday, May 9, from 4 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, May 10, from 12 noon to 10 p.m. on Edgar Avenue in downtown Ronceverte. There will be two days of food, live music, and vendors in the River City.
Friday’s festivities kick off at 4 p.m. with the opening of the food trucks and other vendors, and leads into an 80s Night Dance Party in the street at 7 p.m. Guests are encouraged to dress in their best retro gear for a themed costume contest.
Saturday begins early with a 5K race at 9 a.m. on Edgar Avenue. The entry fee is $20, with proceeds benefiting the festival. The first 40 participants will receive a free T-shirt. Awards will be given to the top two male and female finishers, as well as top two finishers in age groups. To register or learn more, contact Dan Withrow at 304-646-0573 or dan.withrow@hotmail.com.
Additional Saturday highlights include a cornhole tournament at 1 p.m. ($5 entry, blind draw, double elimination, sponsored by the Sportsman Tavern) and a Tap Takeover event from 6 to 10 p.m. featuring Greenbrier Valley Brewing and Hawk Knob inside the Sportsman Tavern.
Live music on Saturday includes:
- Untrained Professionals: 1 to 3 p.m.
- Allan Sizemore and the Lost Souls: 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
- Brett Mahon: 7 to 10 p.m.
Food trucks in attendance include Udderly Smooth Rolled Ice Cream, Rolling Stove WV, Smash Pots, Blue Ribbon Kettle Corn, Little Jimmy’s Italian Ice, Dipped Sweet Goods, Lollipops Cool Treats, and The Dawg House.
Artisan and craft vendors will feature River & Earth Creations by Vicky, J. Renee Designs by Jessica Holliday, Mick’s Media Jewelry, Nicole Suptic NicArtistic, Mimi’s Bakery, Beautiful Chaos by Samantha Mills, Treat Your Senses by Suzanne Williams, and TKC Jewelry Designs.
Parking is available throughout town, including by the railroad station, the bank, across from the post office, and beside Martin & Jones. Please note that Edgar Avenue will be closed to traffic
