The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for Jason Roberts, 52, of Renick. Roberts is wanted on felony warrants for grand larceny, breaking and entering, destruction of property from an incident in March 2025.
On May 6 the Sheriff’s Office received a call from an off-duty law enforcement officer stating that Roberts was possibly seen outside a residence on Benedict Lane. Just prior to deputies’ arrival Roberts left as a passenger in a vehicle. The vehicle was later located on Vago Road. Roberts had fled on foot from the vehicle into a wooded area before responding units could arrive. After an extensive ground search that included K9s from the Lewisburg Police Department, Roberts was unable to be located. It is believed that Roberts had assistance in fleeing the area in another vehicle.
It is unknown at this time if Roberts was armed, but has been known to carry weapons in the past. If Roberts is spotted, please do not attempt to approach. Contact 911 or Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office at 304-647-6634. Any information will be kept confidential and is appreciated.
