Greenbrier County Schools announces their sponsorship of the federally funded Summer Food Service Program. Breakfast and lunch is open to all children, age 18 years and under, who would like to participate.
Meals will be served at the following sites: Alderson Elementary, Rainelle Elementary, and White Sulphur Springs Elementary.
Meals will be provided from 8 to 8:30 a.m. for breakfast and lunch at 11:30 to 12 noon starting June 16 through July 25, Monday through Friday.
Lewisburg Elementary and Rupert Elementary meals will be provided at 8 to 8:30 a.m. for breakfast and lunch at 11:30 to 12 noon starting June 23 through July 24, Monday through Thursday.
No school on June 19, Juneteenth
No school on June 20 WV Day
No school on July 4, Independence Day
Limited meals will be provided at Alderson Farmer’s Market starting June 17 through July 22 on Tuesdays only.
We will be operating the following sites for enrolled kids ONLY:
- Carnegie Hall: Morning and afternoon snacks July 11 through July 18, Monday through Friday.
- Greenbrier State Forest (Scout Day camp): Morning and afternoon snacks July 14 through July 17.
A nutritious meal is important for children to learn, play and remain active during the summer months. Remember, Hunger Doesn’t Take a Summer Vacation!
