Ralph James Campbell, 78, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026.

Born on May 16, 1948, Ralph lived a life defined by hard work, faith, and a deep love for his family. He was a dedicated truck driver for OMR Trucking, where he spent many years faithfully serving his profession and earning the respect of those who worked alongside him.

Ralph was a devoted member of Shady Grove Community Church and found great strength and fellowship through his faith. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was known for his kind heart, friendly spirit, and willingness to help others. Although he had no children of his own, he dearly loved his many nieces and nephews, who brought him great joy throughout his life. He cherished the time spent with them and took great pride in their lives and accomplishments.

Ralph was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Campbell; his mother, Thelma Campbell; his brothers, Robert Campbell and Tom Campbell; his brother-in-law, Fred Hawkins; and his brother-in-law, James Workman.

He is survived by his brother, Richard Campbell and wife Pam of Hico, WV; his sisters, Mabel Hawkins of Hico, Betty Caudill and husband Frank of Galveston, TX, Mamie Sims of Rainelle, Mae Workman of Hico, and Brenda Nutter of Oak Hill; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, church family, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Ralph will be remembered for his strong work ethic, unwavering faith, and the genuine care he showed to those around him. His quiet strength, warm smile, and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ansted, WV. Visitation open to all friends and family from 12 noon until time of service. The funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Paul Gray. Interment will immediately follow in Legg Cemetery.

The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to all who have offered prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.

Though Ralph has departed from this earthly home, his legacy of love, faith, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7
