The second annual Muscles For Miracles: 24 Hour Challenge for Hope to support local causes will take place Sept. 27-28. This year the challenge is to bike Rt. 219 (North-South) through West Virginia (197 miles) within 24 hours. Two local athletes, Drew Cochran and Travis McClintic, have accepted the challenge and have chosen to ride in support of Coach Jerry Bradley, long time Greenbrier East High School boys’ basketball coach and athletic director. Coach Bradley was knocked off his feet by severe illness last fall and spent multiple months at UVA battling for his life and continues to rehab and battle back to his feet. All proceeds will go towards helping finance medical expenses during his recovery.

Payment methods are through United Way of Greenbrier Valley. Payment methods are: 1) Checks: Make checks payable to United Way (include the athlete and cause on the memo line) and mail to: Muscles For Miracles, c/o United Way of Greenbrier Valley, P.O. Box 572, Lewisburg, WV 24901 or 2) Credit card: Call Carol Cales at United Way of Greenbrier Valley at 304-647-3783.
