Lewisburg-Margery Joan Holliday, 92, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.

Born May 9, 1929, in Salisbury, England, she was the last surviving child of Fredrick J. and Sarah Jane Foyle Elsworth.

Margery was a member of Wild Meadow Baptist Church, and was retired from Kroger after 43 years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Holliday; daughter, Dorothy May Holliday; and five sisters and three brothers.

She is survived by three grandchildren, Gary E. Morgan and wife Debbie, Russell R. Morgan and Julie R. Burns; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Monday, July 26, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, where Pastor Lowell O’Dell and Pastor Roger McDaniel officiated. Burial followed in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Crawley, WV.

The family received friends Sunday evening, July 25, at the funeral home.

Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg is in charge of arrangements.
