Born June 10, 1933, in Whitesville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Carl Lambert and Anna Macil Sizemore Vance.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John Albert Brown; son, Eddie Brown; brothers, Junior and Philip Vance; sisters, Mary Bland and Darlene Coffman; and son-in-law, Date Loudermilk.
Survivors include one son, Larry Brown of Lewisburg; daughters, Donna Loudermilk of Ronceverte and Dorothy Bishop (Bob) of Morgantown; daughter-in-law, Donna Brown of Ronceverte; brothers, James “Pretty” Vance of Fairlea, George Vance (Linda) of Salem, VA, Jerry Vance of Fairlea and Robert Vance and son, Tim of Lewisburg; sister-in-law, Betty Vance of Fairlea; grandchildren, Matt Hayes (Paulette), Mark Hayes, Robert Bishop, Brandon Bishop (Tara) and Leslie Cayanus (Jacob); great-grandchildren, Lane, Landon and Logan Hayes, Emily, Ayla, Harper and Morgan Bishop, Avery, Noah and McGuire Reid; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held on Sunday, Sept. 11, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Lewisburg. Visitation was one hour prior to the service. Burial followed in Rosewood Cemetery, Lewisburg.
