Margaret Aleene Massey

Sinks Grove-Margaret Aleene Massey, 81, passed away Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at Greenbrier Manor Nursing Home.
Born Dec. 1, 1931, at Fort Spring, she was a daughter of the late Clark M. and Mary Carter Burns.
Mrs. Massey was a member of Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church and a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon K. Massey; sisters, Lucille Brooks and Martha Ramsey; and brothers, Houston and Charlie Burns.
She is survived by: five sons, John (Pamela) Massey of Sinks Grove, James (Evelyn) Massey of Alderson, Ricky Massey of Sinks Grove, Bud (Theresa) Massey of Alderson and Joseph (Beth) Massey of Wolf Creek; sister, Dolly Jane Waid of South Hill, VA; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 15 at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte where Rev. Rick Duncan officiated.
Burial was in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg.
Friends called Monday evening, Oct. 14 at the funeral home.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
