Ronceverte-James Albert Freeman, 90, passed away Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at his home in Ronceverte.
Born May 23, 1923, at Maxwelton, he was a son of the late Alexander Huford and Laura Neal Freeman.
Mr. Freeman was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a carpenter and a WWII Army Veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Alex and William Freeman, and sister, Edna Montgomery.
He is survived by: his wife, Lucille Jones Freeman; daughter, Judy Gail Freeman Kirk (Bill) of Claudville, VA; son, Steven Neal Freeman, Sr. (Alice); grandchildren, Jeffrey Kirk, Darin Kirk, Renes Gluck III (Crystal), Steven Neal Freeman, Jr. and Joshua Ryan Freeman; two great-grandchildren, Will Easter and Leandra Gluck; and sisters, Ruth King and Anna Wilkinson, both of Lewisburg.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 14 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Ronceverte where Rev. Bryan C. Baker officiated.
Burial was in Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg.
The family received friends Sunday, Oct. 13 at Trinity United Methodist Church.
Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte was in charge of arrangements.
