LeDonna Dingess Brown

Alderson-LeDonna Dingess Brown, 64, passed away Friday, Apr. 3, 2015, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, VA, following a long illness.

Born Mar. 13, 1951, in Chapmanville, she was the daughter of the late David Chester and Vicie Evelyn Christian Dingess.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Brian Curtis Cornett; and two brothers, Ralph Dingess and Lucian Peter Dingess.

Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and was of the Protestant Faith. She absolutely loved her flowers and loved gardening. Mrs. Brown was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother who was passionate about instilling good values, morals, and beliefs into her family and those around her.

Survivors include: her husband of 33 years, Roy Lee Brown of Alderson; two sons, Robert Riley Cornett, II of Fort Spring and Jason Lee Brown and companion Carrie Renee Palmer of Alderson; three brothers, Cecil Dingess of Striker, Lonzo Dingess of Chapmanville and William Anderson Dingess and wife Rochelle, of Chapmanville; three sisters, Dorothy Lois McKinney and husband Arthur of Detroit, MI, Violet Feamster Cade of Rupert and Daisy Mae Mooney of Rupert; sister-in-law, Linda Sue Dingess of Chapmanville; 12 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Apr. 9, at the Lobban Funeral Home Chapel, Alderson, where the Rev. Frank Jones officiated. Burial was in the Fletcher Addition of the Alderson Cemetery, Alderson.

Friends called Wednesday evening, Apr. 8, at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers were: David Feamster, Jason Brown, Pat Battaile, Frank Brown, James Brown, and Nole Adkins.
