Laura Lavada Spencer

Caldwell-Laura Lavada Spencer, 90, went to meet her Lord and Savior Sunday, May 27, 2018, at her residence in Caldwell, surrounded by her loved ones.

Laura was born Dec. 8, 1927, in Quinwood, to the late John Adams and Nettie Foley.

She was a faithful member of the Church of God and spent her free time crocheting for her family and friends.

Other than her parents, she was preceded by her son, Stanley “Bean” Spencer who passed away in 2013; four sisters; and two brothers.

Survivors include daughters, Laura “Penny” Neely and husband Ron of High Point, NC, Donna Adwell of Caldwell with whom she resided, Terry Wykle and husband Joe of Caldwell, Gail Goodale and husband Greg of White Sulphur Springs, and Dawn Spencer of Cincinnati, OH; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

As per her wishes she has donated her body to the Human Gift Registry at the Osteopathic School of Medicine in Lewisburg.
