John Lewis Hedrick

Alderson-John Lewis Hedrick, 90, passed away Monday, Oct. 10, 2016, at Greenbrier Manor Nursing and Rehab Center in Fairlea.
John was born May 5, 1926, at Wolf Creek, the son of Guy Fred and Laura Eva Burdette Hedrick.
He was a member of the Broad Run Baptist Church at Wolf Creek, a retired sales clerk with 35 years of service with Martin & Jones Hardware Store in Ronceverte, member of the Lindside Ruritan Club and a lifelong farmer with his wife on the family farm in Wolf Creek.
Surviving Mr. Hedrick are: his wife of 66 years, Virginia Madge Hedrick; daughter, Karen of Peterstown; grandchildren, Brian L. Faulknier (Jenny) of Charlottesville, VA, Jennifer Allen of Baltimore, MD and Renee Fox and Megan Fox of Maryland; and several great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hedrick has given his body to the Human Gift Registry at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
