Alderson-James (Jimmy) Burliegh Nelson, Jr., 51, passed away Friday, Oct. 15, 2021 at the Greenbrier Health Care Center in Fairlea.

Born Nov. 7, 1969 in Fairfax, VA, he was a son of Susan Mary Pennington Nelson and the late James Burliegh Nelson, Sr.

Jimmy was a member of the Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church.

Jimmy is survived by his mother; sister, Tracy Sue Nelson of Suffolk, VA; brother, Ricky Nelson of Alderson; and four nephews, Nathaniel James Nelson, Christian Lee Phillips, Jeremiah Michael Nelson, and John Brookman Nelson.

Graveside services were held on Thursday, Oct. 21, at Roselawn Cemetery in Princeton, WV, where Pastor Jeffery Kanode officiated. Burial followed in the cemetery.

Visitation was held before the service on Thursday at the Lantz Funeral Home in Alderson.

In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy may be made to the Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 144 Alderson, WV  24910.
