Gracie Mae Bowyer

Fairlea – Gracie Mae Bowyer, 83, passed away Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born Aug. 23, 1935, at Hollywood, WV, she was the daughter of the late Brady Orden and Rehlda Catherine Hoke White.

Gracie retired from The Greenbrier as a Seamstress.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Ernest Edward Bowyer; four brothers, Clyde, Bill, Marvin and Jesse; and three sisters, Una, Willie and Nellie.

Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years, Richard Eugene Bowyer, Sr.; son, Richard Eugene Bowyer, Jr. (Mary) of Riverside; two daughters, Sharon Marie Biter (James) of Texas and Juanita “Fred” Bowyer of Fairlea; grandchildren, Richard Eugene Bowyer III, Lorena Elizabeth Bowyer and Adam Alexander Bowyer; two great-grandchildren, Richard E. Bowyer IV and Liam Harper Bowyer; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Friday, Nov. 9, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, with Pastor Everette “Hat” Defibaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Cemetery, Lewisburg.

Visitation was Thursday evening, Nov. 8, at the funeral home.
