Gladys Williams Boyce

-Gladys Williams Boyce, 99, passed away peacefully Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019, at Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg.

Gladys was a homemaker, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a member of the Fairlea Presbyterian church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Okey W. Moore; son, Kenneth Boyce; and brothers, James Williams, Elmer Williams and Alfred Williams.

Surviving are her daughters, Carol Flanagan and husband Jimmie of LaVale, MD, Linda Moore and husband Kermit of Lewisburg, and Gaye Forren and husband Jim of Greenville; sister, Marie Stanley of Droop Mountain; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Feb. 4, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg where Rev. Ike Hughes officiated. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery in Kennan.

The family received friends at the funeral home Monday before the service.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
