Danny Shay Massie

Frankford-Danny Shay Massie, 57, formerly of Tucson, AZ, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019, at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.

He was the son of the late Susie Olie Massie and Rupert Shay Harless.

Danny was proceeded in death by a brother, John Massie of Alderson; sister, Henrietta Carter of Ronceverte; and his in-laws, Delmer and Christine Harris of Tucson, AZ.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Alicia M. Massie; daughter, Kayla Bennett of Tucson, AZ; son, Levi Massie (Ashley) of Ellitsville, IN; grandchildren, Mary Joy Gaddie and Cooper Merritt Massie; brother, Harry Massie (Brenda) of Ronceverte; sister, Mary Terry of Vinton, VA; his best bud “dog,” Tyrion; as well as several nieces and nephews, extended family and his church family.

Memorial service and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 9, at 11 a.m. at the Renick Church of God on Auto Road with Pastor Jason Crabaugh officiating. A lunch will follow in the church fellowship hall provided by the Ladies Ministries.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alicia Massie or Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Ave., Lewisburg, WV 24901.

Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg is in charge of arrangements.
