Smalley
Lewisburg – Georgia McClung Smalley, 88, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg.
Born Oct. 8, 1934 at Snow Hill, WV, in Nicholas County, she was a daughter of the late Simon Monroe and Margie Rebecca Justice McClung.
She was of the Methodist faith, loved working on the farm and enjoyed beautiful flowers. Georgia retired as office manager from Kroger after 42 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, who was the love of her life, James W. “Sam” Smalley, Jr. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
Funeral service will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, July 14, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, with Rev. Bev. Colombo officiating. Burial will follow in the McClung Cemetery at Snow Hill, WV.
A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday.
