Norman Dwight Livesay

Lewisburg-Norman Dwight Livesay, 80, passed away Wednesday July 5, 2023 at his home in Rolling Hills Estates, in Lewisburg.
He was born July 14, 1942 in Grassy Meadows, the son of the late Lawrence T. and Thelma (Cadle) Livesay.
Dwight was an active member and a deacon of the First Baptist Church of Fairlea. He held a Bachelor of Science degree from Concord College and a Masters degree from Appalachian State University. He had a doctorate degree in School Law from Virginia Tech. He began working in 1964 in the Greenbrier County Schools as a teacher and a counselor, eventually serving as assistant superintendent and director of curriculum and instruction for 19 years. After retiring in 2006, Dwight continued his work as an educational consultant for the Greenbrier County Board of Education. His lifelong dedication and great love for others was felt throughout the community.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Joanne Marie Livesay.
Dwight leaves his son, Michael P. Livesay, wife Kelli Anne, and granddaughter Eliza of Denver, CO.
Funeral services for Dwight were held on Thursday, July 13 at The First Baptist Church of Fairlea where Pastor Ron Miller officiated. Interment followed in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville, WV.
The family received their friends before the service at the church on Thursday.
