Dennis Arnold Hodges

Lewisburg-Dennis Arnold Hodges passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016, in Roanoke after a long illness.
Dennis was born in Washington, DC on Sept. 26, 1946, son of Ted Hodges and Imogene Arnold Hodges.
He enlisted in the Army in 1964 and became a part of one of the earliest deployments to Vietnam.
After his Army discharge, he worked as a Washington, DC police officer while attending the Corcoran School of Art at George Washington University graduating with a bachelors degree in Fine Arts. He began a career in arts management, working in the Wilmington/Philadelphia area. He loved everything in fine arts and enjoyed photography.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Carol Frances Evans; daughter, Rachel Hodges and husband Robin O’Brien; son, Colin McKenna and wife Molly Smith Metzler; and three grandchildren, Declan and Patrick O’Brien and Cora McKenna.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
