White Sulphur Springs-Gladys Loraine Harrah, 87, passed away Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016, at White Sulphur Springs Care Center.
Born May 19, 1929, at White Sulphur Springs, she was a daughter of the late Anderson Smith Detamore and Tracy Gaye Hoover Detamore.
Gladys was a lifelong resident of White Sulphur Springs, was of the Methodist faith and was a retired dental assistant.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William “Bill” Harrah; and daughter, Sharon H. Schwartz.
She is survived by a son-in-law, Stuart Schwartz of Lynchburg, VA; two granddaughters, Chelsea Schwartz of Austin, TX and Brittany Schwartz of Jersey City, NJ; and sister, Sheila Collis of Martinsburg, WV.
A private graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg. Her son-in-law, Stuart Schwartz, will officiate the service.
