On Saturday, Sept. 29, the Greenbrier East Spartans Cross-Country Teams hosted several area schools to a early morning run. Some of the teams in attendance where Shady-Spring, Pike View, and Capital High just to name a few. Both the Spartan boys and girls teams performed very well.

The girls team ran in the first heat with Spartan Tori Parks coming in 2nd Place overall a time of 22:09.7. The boys team ran in the second heat of the morning with leaders of the pack Malachi Crews and Dayton Austin both making a strong finish. Crew had a time of 16.57.1, and Austin had a time of 17:02.6.

There was an incredible effort by all, congratulations to all of the runners of this early morning showdown. Go East!
