Greenbrier East’s cross country runners of the week are Brianna Tuckwiller and Justin Sexton.
Brianna is running for the first time as a sophomore and doing remarkably well. She states that cross country keeps her in shape and teaches her to be more confident in herself. Her favorite quote is, “If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.” Brianna did a great job representing the team during a live WVVA interview this summer at the State Fair of West Virginia.
Justin is a senior and has been running since the 6th grade. He states that cross country helps build a strong mentality. Justin is inspired by an Arnold Schwarzenegger quote, “Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strength. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.” Because of his experience and leadership skills, Justin has been a great asset to the team this season.
