Greenbrier Artists put a calendar together each year to promote local art.  Copies of the calendar will be available at the Visitors’ Center during First Friday.

Come see “Fall in West Virginia,” painted by members of the Greenbrier Artists. A special show featuring our beautiful state will begin Friday, Oct. 5, and continue throughout the month.

Several of the artists will be at the Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau on Washington Street on First Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. to greet visitors and answer questions about their paintings. They will also have their latest art calendar available.

Also, several special demos will take place on Thursdays for the group. On Thursday, Oct. 11, Mandy Raubach will lead a card making workshop, (bring your supplies and some to share) and on Oct. 18, Shelby Orelot will do a class on pouring acyclic paints on canvas (Flotrel will be provided to thin the paints). On Oct. 25, Misty Walkup will lead a discussion about E-Bay and how to sell your art online.

Greenbrier Artists, a nonprofit group with over 90 members last year, meet each Thursday at 9 a.m. at Carnegie Hall to paint, learn, and promote art in the community. If interested, come by any Thursday, bring your paint, pencils, or whatever medium you work in and join them.
