White Sulphur Springs -Bernard (Bernie) William Mines, 51, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022, at his home.

Bernie was born Sept. 2, 1971, in Fort Knox, KY, the son of Betty Griffith and the late Bobby Lee Mines.

Mr. Mines was a general laborer and landscaper. He attended the Pentecostal Holiness Church. He had been a meat cutter with his uncle Larry at Larry’s deer processing for 20 plus years and worked for the Greenbrier Solid Waste.

Bernie was a big fan of WWE wrestling on TV and enjoyed tattooing.

Bernie is survived by his mother, Betty Griffith Craft; daughter, Savannah Mines Holliday (Hunter Holliday); sons, Gabriel Mines (Jasmine Hoke), Trinity Mines, Trevor Mines and Cody O’Dell; grandchildren, Bentley Mines, Greyson Mines and Jayce Holliday; aunt, Sandra Griffith; and uncles, Larry and Baxter Griffith.

In keeping with Bernie’s wishes he will be cremated.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs. The family visited with family and friends before the service at the funeral home.
