Ethel Montague Piercy

Lewisburg-Ethel Montague Piercy, 99, passed away Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, at Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, WV.

Born Oct. 28, 1923, in Keiffer, WV, she was the daughter of the late Emory Clyde Hayslette and Lennie Walker Hayslette.

Mrs. Piercy had worked as a Nurses’ Aide for Greenbrier Valley Hospital, in the Burlington Ribbon Factory in White Sulphur Springs and sat with the elderly. She was a member of the Lewisburg Baptist Church,

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Ira Piercy; and six brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her son, Ernest Piercy (Suzanne) of Lewisburg; sister, Alma June Holland of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Autumn Lewis (Joe), Alisha Doyle (Jeff), Joshua, Karlie and Hannah Schmidt; great-grandchildren, Stone, Ashton, Tyler, Faith, Kyrie and Delilah; great-great grandchildren, Elana and Stella; and several nieces, and nephews.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Lewisburg, with Pastor Jonathan Comer officiating. Burial will follow in the End of the Trail Cemetery, Clintonville. Visitation will be on Saturday at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
