Lewisburg-Basil Wilbur Forren, Jr., 68, passed away Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, at Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg.

Born Mar. 10, 1953, at Ronceverte, he was a son of the late Basil Wilbur Forren, Sr. and Christine Thompson Forren.

Basil was a long-distance truck driver, retired from the WV Department of Highways and was an avid hunter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Linda L. Jenkins Forren.

He is survived by daughter, Leslie Forren Baker of Ronceverte; two granddaughters, Dakota Baker and Riley McNeil; grandson, Nathan Chewning; sister, Patricia Jenkins of Lewisburg; brother, Jeffrey Allen Forren of Roanoke, VA; two special friends, Billy Jo Burns, and Allan Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial of Life Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25, at Graystone Baptist Church with Pastor Youel Altizer officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
