Zobrist kicks-off State Senate campaign

On Tuesday, Jan. 14, Duane Zobrist, a local job creator and community leader, kicked-off his campaign for the West Virginia State Senate’s Tenth Senatorial District. He was surrounded by family, friends and supporters from all across the district, which encompasses the counties of Fayette, Greenbrier, Monroe and Summers.

Duane Zobrist is a small businessman from Greenbrier County and this will be his first run for elected office. Zobrist leads a speaking, consulting, and organizational performance firm focusing on business, family and collegiate leadership.

In 1994, Zobrist started American’s first school of falconry and has grown The Falconry and Raptor Education Foundation to over 6,000 students per year. As CEO of Resort Outfitters, an outdoor adventures company, Duane operates recreational and team-building activities at some of America’s finest resorts, including The Greenbrier.

Zobrist has worked on many nonprofit boards including, The Boy Scouts of America, Buckskin Council and Greenbrier Episcopal School. He is currently Regional Chair Elect and a Regional Education Officer in the Young President’s Organization (YPO), an international organization which focuses on CEO education.

Zobrist currently resides in Lewisburg with his wife Darlene Salin Zobrist and four children, Hampton, 19; Trip, 16; Cameron, 14 and Chase, 11.
