WV Picklefest expands to State Fair of West Virginia with full weekend celebration this April

WV Picklefest returns this April with a pre-party at Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company on Apr. 24, and two days of the main festival at the State Fairgrounds on Apr. 25 and 26.

WV Picklefest is back – and in 2026, it’s getting bigger than ever. What began as a grassroots celebration at Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company has grown into one of the region’s most anticipated spring events, and now it’s officially making the move to the State Fair of West Virginia. Join us Apr. 24 through 26 as Picklefest expands into a full-scale weekend experience with more room to roam, more to taste, and more music to enjoy.

At its heart, WV Picklefest is a celebration of community, craft, and a shared love of all things pickled. The move to the State Fairgrounds allows the festival to level up in every way – more vendors, more food trucks, bigger contests, and more music than ever before. Fans can also expect plenty of their favorite pours, with Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company and Hawk Knob Appalachian Hard Cider front and center all weekend long.

Music lovers will feel right at home with a strong bluegrass-focused lineup that carries the laid-back, high-energy spirit Picklefest is known for. The weekend kicks off with a Pre-Party at Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company on Friday, Apr. 24, setting the tone before the main festival takes over the State Fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday, Apr. 25 and 26.

Festival highlights include:

  • Signature pickle contests, including crowd-favorite competitions
  • Multiple pickle-inspired beer and cider releases from Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company and Hawk Knob Appalachian Hard Cider
  • Food trucks and specialty vendors from across the region
  • Expanded live music programming rooted in Americana and bluegrass
  • Kids Zone with family-friendly activities
  • Primitive camping on the State Fairgrounds, included with weekend passes. RV camping is available for purchase.

“WV Picklefest has outgrown its original footprint at GVBC, and this move lets us build the festival it’s always wanted to be,” said organizers. “Partnering with the State Fair of West Virginia is huge and allows us to expand the music, vendors, contests, and overall experience – while keeping the heart of WV Picklefest rooted in Appalachian culture and community.”

Presale tickets are on sale now and include primitive camping for the weekend at the State Fairgrounds, plus entry to the official WV Picklefest Pre-Party on Friday night, Apr. 24, at Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company.

Tickets can be purchased at https://events.statefairofwv.com/event/wv-picklefest/. For more information visit their Facebook event page, “WV Picklefest 2026!”

Additional announcements, including the daily music lineup, vendor applications, and contest details, will be released soon. Get ready for a weekend that’s louder, tastier, and more fun than ever before. It’s going to be a really big dill.
