WV Picklefest returns bigger than ever in 2026, bringing craft beverages, live music, and all things pickled to the State Fair of West Virginia on April 25 and 26. Presented by Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company and Hawk Knob Appalachian Hard Cider, this year’s festival marks a major expansion for one of the region’s fastest-growing spring events.
Festivalgoers can expect an array of pickle-inspired creations, from traditional cucumber pickles to inventive non-cucumber varieties, alongside specialty pickle beers and ciders crafted exclusively for the event. Attendees will have the opportunity to try multiple small-batch beer releases, including limited-edition pickle ales, shandies, and sour styles. A new Kimchi Bloody Mary style cider from Hawk Knob Appalachian Hard Cider will be available, along with other GVBC and Hawk Knob selections. Smooth Ambler will have the Whiskey Wagon on site serving small batch cocktail creations.
Live music acts include IBMA award-winning Volume Five and West Virginia’s own Chandler Beavers and the Busted Dams, alongside a diverse roster of regional talent performing across both days.
In addition to music and craft beverages, WV Picklefest offers a wide range of activities for all ages with food trucks, craft vendors, a dedicated Kids Zone with inflatable attractions and family-friendly entertainment, and the highly anticipated Best Pickle Competition. Contest entries – spanning both cucumber and non-cucumber categories – will be judged live, with winners announced during the event.
A special pre-party hosted at Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company will kick off the festivities on Friday evening, offering early access for weekend pass holders and setting the tone for the weekend ahead. Music kicks off at 6 p.m. with Cheat Mountain Riders followed by PANTS headlining at 8 p.m. The cost for the preparty without the 3-day pass is $10 at the door.
Tickets are available now through the State Fair of West Virginia website, with presale options including weekend passes and access to the official pre-party. Attendees are encouraged to purchase early, as prices will increase closer to the event. Visit Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company’s Facebook for more information.
