On Friday, Sept. 12, members of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Greenbrier Valley Drug and Violent Crime Task Force with the execution of an arrest warrant upon a 44-year-old male subject identified as Karl Myers of White Sulphur Springs, WV. A felony arrest warrant for Myers for the offense of the exhibition of child pornography had been obtained following an investigation by the West Virginia State Police ICAC Task Force. During this investigation it had been discovered Myers had been downloading large volumes of child sexual abuse material-related files. Following the execution of the arrest warrant, multiple search warrants were executed which led to the discovery of additional evidence of child pornography, as well as evidence of the suspected distribution of controlled substances at the residence of Myers.
Following the arrest, Karl Myers was arraigned before the Greenbrier County Magistrate for one count of exhibition of child pornography over 300 images, and one count of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance and remanded to Southern Regional Jail pending a $50,000 cash only bond for the child pornography offense, as well as a $25,000 cash only bond for the controlled substance related offense.
A 24-year-old female subject identified as Jenna Hundley was also discovered at the residence of Mr. Myers and was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit a felony. Mrs. Hundley was arraigned before the Greenbrier County Magistrate and remanded to Southern Regional Jail pending a $10,000 cash only bond.
“I would like to commend the members of the West Virginia State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force the Greenbrier Valley Drug and Violent Crime Task force and the deputies for a job well done,” said Sheriff Bart Baker. “Let it be none to those that would perpetrate crimes against our children, that we will not stop, we will not be deterred, we will find you and prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law. We will use every resource we have to protect our children. If you have a desire to victimize our children then seek help or seek a hole to hide in, but I promise it won’t be deep enough, we will find you.”
