Williamsburg-Troy Allen Scott, 62, passed away Thursday, Mar. 28, 2019, at Lewis-Gale Medical Center in Salem, VA.
Troy was born Dec. 31, 1956, in Ronceverte, the son of the late George Allen and Letha Mae Mason Scott.
He was a foreman and heavy equipment operator in coal mines and was a 1975 graduate of Greenbrier East High School.
Surviving are his wife, Pamela Moyers Scott; sisters, Donna Wickline and husband Milton of Williamsburg, and Frances McCoy and husband Patrick of Williamsburg; brothers, Ray Scott and wife Brenda of Williamsburg, and Robert Scott of Rupert; aunt, Betty Flint of Clintonville; niece, Jennifer Gunter and husband Jared of Pickaway; nephew, George McCoy of Williamsburg; and two great-nephews.
A celebration of life for Troy was held Tuesday, Apr. 2, at Sinking Creek Baptist Church where Pastor Mike Tincher officiated.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes that memorial contributions be made to the Greenbrier County Humane Society, 151 Holliday Lane, P.O. Box 926, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
