Fairlea – Thelma J. Watson, 79, passed away Saturday, Mar. 24, 2018, after a long illness.

Born Apr. l, 1939, in Sweet Springs, she was the daughter of the late Willie Woods and Eva Woods.

Thelma was proceeded in death by her sister, Linda Faye Bowers; and her granddaughter, April Long.

Thelma is survived by son, Robert L. Watson J.R. (Susan) of Wakefield, VA; daughter, Lisa Long (David) of Caldwell; grandchild, Robert L. Watson III of Virginia Beach, VA; great- grandchildren, Korrynn Ferguson, Hannah, Landen, Lily and Vivian Watson; nephew, Larry D. Woods (Lisa) and his sons Dean and Matthew from Sweet Springs.

The family is grateful for the loving care Thelma received from her caregivers at Greenbrier Manor throughout the years.

Friends and family were received Tuesday evening, Mar. 27, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs. Graveside service was held on Wednesday, Mar. 28, at Mountain View Cemetery at Sweet Springs where Pastor John Kelly officiated.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Family of God Church, c/o Tony Taylor, 616 Big Draft Road, White Sulphur Springs, WV 24986.
