Teddy Franklin Bennett, 69, of Rupert passed away on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025 at LewisGale Medical Center, Salem, VA following a long illness.
He was born on May 20, 1955 in Beckley; the son of the late Herbert Carl Bennett and Norma Texas Russell Bennett.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters and brothers, Letty Crist, Frida Hannah, Danny Bennett, Eddie Bennett, Rodney Bennett, Kenneth Bennett, Steve Bennett and Larry Bennett.
He was a 1974 graduate of Greenbrier West High School and loved in Rupert for the past 40 years.
Survivors include his daughter, Rebecca McClung of Hines; sons, Lloyd Michael Bennett of White Sulphur Springs and Teddy Bennett, Jr. of Rupert; sister, Linda Holcomb of Rupert; brothers, James Robert “Bobby” Bennett of Quinwood and Jimmy Bennett of Rainelle; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held a later date at Big Clear Creek Baptist Church.
