Phillip Lawrence Dowdy, 70, of White Sulphur Springs passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025, at Peyton Hospice House. Born Apr. 13, 1954, in White Sulphur Springs, he was the son of the late Jimmy and Stella Hoke Dowdy.
Phillip was a logger and a Christian.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Wanda Dowdy, sons, Jimmy and Phillip Dowdy, daughter, Alexandria Killion (Ronnie), sister, Sherrie Dowdy, grandchildren, Aden Colt, Adair, and Emyrson Dowdy and Zane Killion.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 13, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ralph Hubbard officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in the Dowdy Cemetery at Glace.
