The Tutoring Center Foundation (TCF) is pleased to announce a $5,000 grant from The Daywood Foundation for the advancement of the Center’s mission.

For more than 15 years, TCF has served families in the Greenbrier Valley by helping hundreds of students meet their academic goals and challenges.

Established by Ruth Woods Dayton following the death of her husband, Arthur Spencer Dayton, The Daywood Foundation has enriched the lives of West Virginians since 1958.

“By providing ongoing, generous support, the Daywood Foundation has been central to the Center’s success,” says Jon Lindbergh, president of the TCF Board of Directors. “We are extremely grateful for donors who demonstrate a commitment to education in general and to our Center in particular.

Without them, we simply could not continue offering this valuable service to our community.”

The Tutoring Center Foundation provides one-on-one instruction to students from kindergarten through high school in just about any subject, including advanced math, SAT/ACT/GED prep, and foreign languages. Tutors emphasize building self-esteem and confidence, along with study and timemanagement skills. Based on a sliding payment scale and available funding, scholarships are available for many students.

Contact The Tutoring Center to make the second half of the school year all about your student’s success. For more information, call 304-645-1877, email wvtutor2@gmail.com, or stop by at 107 N. Lafayette Street in Lewisburg.
