Suggestions for Mr. Detch

Dear Editor:

“Contact me if you have any suggestions”

That is what Mr. Detch said in his last letter looking for a candidate. When will Mr. Detch and the Democratic, not Democrat, party realize that Women are no longer dependent on men to tell them when and for who they have to vote.

“Robin chose to violate the code of ethics of election neutrality practiced by past county clerks.” One of the past clerks was “Scratch Caldwell” of Lewisburg who struck all but three voters from 1867 voter rolls, and then lined through one name and wrote in his name.

“[O]n the 100th anniversary of Women’s right to vote, why would a women office holder join a party headed by … President Trump?” Well, I and millions of Women understand that the “right” meant just that, Women are free to tell dictatorial chairman to go to h__l, and select the political party they choose, when they choose, vote for whom they choose, instead of doing it the old way, per Scratch Caldwell.

Mr. Detch also says, “Robin forgets that elections are not won by registered voters alone: they are won by the candidates.” What, I don’t think so, not now, but it used to be a pint of bourbon was the reward for substituting a filled in ballot for a blank one in the secrecy of the voting booth. “From personal friend of mine.” Mr. Detch, the old days are gone and Women vote for who they want without being told, and candidates may ask, request, present reasons, but they do not force or dictate a vote. Your candidates have been totally silent, are they waiting for out-of-state money or are they so confident of winning that like Mr. Biden, hiding in their basement, as local money is very little.

“Democrats, what happened to democratic, are looking for a candidate who is competent and has integrity.” Please let us know the results of your search.
