Shirley Jean Ray

Frankford-Shirley Jean Ray, 76, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015, at the General Division CAMC in Charleston.

She was born Apr. 5, 1938, in Greenbrier County, a daughter of the late Lloyd F. and Ruby Frances Boggs Rutherford.

Shirley was a member of Band of Hope Baptist Church, worked at Kellwood and was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ray.

She is survived by two daughters, Julie Morrison and husband Robert of Frankford and Betty Thornton and husband Kevin of Frankford; and three grandchildren, Tommy Morrison of Renick, Amy Windon of Lewisburg and Autumn Thornton of Renick.

A visitation will be held Sunday, Feb. 22, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m., with Rev. Youel Altizer officiating.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23, at Morningside Cemetery in Renick.

The family would like to give special thanks to Northern Greenbrier Ambulance Service for the care and attention they gave to Shirley.

The family suggests that donations of sympathy be made to Northern Greenbrier Ambulance Service, Inc., 125 Water Street, Frankford, WV 24938.
