Saundra Kay Simms, 75, of Lewisburg, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 11, 2025.

Born on May 16, 1949, in Landisburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Bennett and Mabel Elizabeth Bennett.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Lester Curtis Simms; two brothers, Wally and Robert.

Saundra was a devoted loving mother and grandmother. She was a longtime member of Shuck Memorial Baptist Church. She loved her friends and enjoyed spending time with them. She enjoyed dancing and traveling.

Survivors include one son, Curtis (Stephanie) Simms; two daughters, Cindy (Scott) Meadows, Melissa (Scott) Swann; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Meadows, Ashley Meadows, Aaron Meadows, Bridget Meadows, Ty Swann, Kerstyn Simms, and Aurora Simms; two great-grandchildren, Teddy Lewis, Zayden Lewis; two sisters Pamela (Dwight) Lewis, Dorothy Gwinn; and two brothers, Russell (Debbie) Bennett, Leo (Darnell) Bennett.

Service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 17, at Shuck Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Johnathan Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg. Family will serve as pallbearers. Friends may gather with family one hour prior to the service at the church.

Flowers are appreciated or donations of sympathy may be made to Shuck Memorial Baptist Church, 841 Washington Street, West, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
