Ruth Marie Nester

Union-Ruth Marie Nester, 82, passed away Monday, Aug. 16, 2021, at her residence.

She was born on Jan. 16, 1939, in White Sulphur Springs, the daughter of the late Eugenia Virginia Kersey.

Other than her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Leslie Nester; and brother, James Robert Kersey.

Ruth was the pastor of the New Life Christian Center, Glace, WV.

Surviving are her children, Sandra Marie Kinney and husband John Richard of Spotsylvania, VA, Charles L. Nester II, and wife Melody Elaine of Glace, and Greg Nester of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Tiffany Jackson, Sarah Gammons, Buddy Kinney, Josh Nester, Chloe Lewis, Brett Todd Nester, Britt Nester, Jade Hefner, and Jacy Hefner; great-grandchildren, Kalup Kinney, Heaven Kinney, Michael Gammons, Evelyn Lewis, Kaylee Gammons, Jase Nester, Linda Nester, Abby Fridley Thomas Collins III and Silas Collins.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, Aug. 24, at Leslie Nester Memorial Cemetery in Glace where Pastor Josh Nester officiated.

Visitation for family and friends was held Monday evening, Aug. 23, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs.

Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs is in charge of arrangements.
