Ruth H. Ray
Fairlea-Ruth H. Ray, 84, entered her eternal home in heaven on Monday, June 22, 2015.
Born Jan. 5, 1931, in Lewisburg, she was the daughter of the late Mark Henry Hanna and Arzella Gold Hanna.
Mrs. Ray was a member of the Lewisburg Church of Christ. She was an active member of the Lewisburg BPW for many years and a well-respected florist in Greenbrier County for over 40 years. Her greatest love was for her family and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William N. Ray; sister, Marie Fay Chattin; brother, Donald Creed Hanna; and daughter, Janie Zimmerman.
Survivors include her children, Joe M. Zimmerman and wife Debbie, Cathy L. Dixon and husband Peter, Mark D. Zimmerman and wife Connie, and Billy Casebolt Ray and wife Gail; sister, Mona Clark; stepdaughters, Carol A. Goodman and husband Junior, and Donna L. Blanco and husband Lou; grandchildren, Michael D. Zimmerman, Ann M. Sasso, Anna M. Bennett, Melissa K. Altizer, Mark D. Zimmerman Jr., Christopher J. Dixon, Shannon R. Childress, Jessica C. Zimmerman, Megan A. Ray, and Joshua C. Ray; great-grandchildren, Tyler R. Jones, Brittany C. Defibaugh, Robert “Jacob” Altizer, Ashley M. Defibaugh, Hannah G. Altizer, Casey A. Bennett, and Amanda M. Sasso; and great-great-granddaughter, Adaylynn Ann Marie Sharp.
Visitation was at the Lewisburg Church of Christ on Thursday evening, June 25.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 26, at the church. Burial will follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg.

Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, Shady Spring Chapel, 729 Flat Top Road, Shady Spring, WV, is in charge of arrangements.
