<strong><img class="wp-image-35315 alignleft" src="https:\/\/mountainmedianews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2018\/11\/Rose-Hartsook-obit.jpg" alt="" width="182" height="228" \/>Clintonville<\/strong>-Rose Marie Hartsook, 76, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018.\r\n\r\nBorn Oct. 4, 1942, at Snow Hill, WV, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Donie Boone.\r\n\r\n\u201cRosie\u201d was a member of Sinking Creek Baptist Church and a homemaker.She enjoyed serving the Lord and the fellowship of her church family. She was a devoted mom, wife, and grandmother. She was a loyal friend to many. Her heart was genuine and endearing.\r\n\r\nIn addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her seven brothers and six sisters.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her faithful husband of 53 years, Lacy Hartsook. They enjoyed gardening and canning together, spending time with family and friends, and were always part of everything going on at church. Lacy and Rose had often commented to each other that they had climbed many mountains together. Upon her passing, in his ever so sincere and tender way, Lacy said, \u201cI guess this is a mountain I\u2019ll have to climb alone.\u201d\r\n\r\nThe family, who will uphold her legacy and carry her on in their hearts, includes son, Roger Hartsook (Beth) of Clintonville and daughter, Darlene White (Todd) of Clintonville; and five grandchildren, Ethan Hartsook, Cheyenne Hartsook, Yvonne Sydenstricker, Jacob White and Joshua White.\r\n\r\nThe funeral service was held on Thursday, Nov. 29, at Sinking Creek Baptist Church in Clintonville. Pastors Mike Tincher and Delmas Beavers officiated.\u00a0 Interment was in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.\r\n\r\nThe family received friends Wednesday evening, Nov. 28, at the church.\r\n\r\nPallbearers were Jacob White, Joshua White, Ethan Hartsook, Rob Ridgeway, Roger Reynolds, Roger Hinkle and Cheyenne Hartsook.\r\n\r\nWallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg is in charge of arrangements.\r\n\r\nPlease send online condolences by visiting www.WallaceandWallaceFH.com.
