Roger Lee Judy

Maxwelton-Roger Lee Judy, 52, formerly of Ronceverte, passed away on Sunday, Mar. 2, 2014 in Lewisburg.

Roger was born Feb. 22, 1962, in Covington, VA, the son of Ronald and Sue Long Bailey of Fairlea and the late Burl Judy.

Several years of Mr. Judy’s career were spent working in law enforcement and corrections, including the Ronceverte Police Department, Virginia Department of Corrections and the Alderson Federal Prison Camp. He was of the Baptist Faith. His family and friends will always remember him for his sense of humor and his gift of making people laugh. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include: his wife, Tammy Hoke Judy; parents, Ronald and Sue Bailey; beloved aunt, Lovetta Wooten; his children, Jason Judy and wife Sandy, Daniel Lee Judy, Kaylin Judy, Brandon Hoke, Daniel Hoke, Dillon Hoke, Tyler Judy and Lola Judy; grandchildren, Kyleigh and Kendyl Judy, Madison, Jacob and Taylor; brothers, Michael “Snowball” Judy and wife Kathy of Ronceverte and Michael Bailey and wife Mary of Ohio; sister, Madonna Erskine and husband Randy of Georgetown, KY; several nieces, nephews and many beloved cousins.

Funeral services for Roger will be conducted on Saturday, Mar. 8 at 3 p.m. at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte with Rev. Donnie Weikle officiating.

Interment will follow in Adwell Cemetery in Ronceverte.

The family will receive their family and friends from 2 p.m. until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
