Robert Lee Ralston, Sr.

Fairlea-Robert Lee Ralston, Sr., 89, passed away Friday, Oct. 28, 2022, after a long illness.

Bob was born July 8, 1933, in Pickaway, a son of the late Clyde and Myrtle Bostic Ralston.

Bob was a Custodian at Ronceverte Elementary School for 30 years – 1965-1995. Bob was a proud US Army Veteran.

Other than his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a brother, William J. Ralston.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Ralston; son, Robert “Bobby” L. Ralston, Jr. and wife Carrie of Fairlea; six grandchildren, Alexis McCoy and husband Adam, Hunter Ralston, Sean Ralston, Meaghan Ward, Emily Dove, and Wyatt Dove; three great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Boone, Colton Boone and River McCoy; nieces, Carol Ralston and Patty Douma; plus other relatives and lots of friends.

A Memorial Service was held Monday evening, Oct. 31, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte where Pastor Keith Raznick officiated. Military Honors were conducted by the American Legion Post 26 Honor Guard.

The family received friends Monday evening before the service at the funeral home.
