Robert Edward ‘Bob’ Straub, of White Sulphur Springs passed away quietly in the early hours of Saturday, Apr. 19, 2025, after a long stay at the Lewisburg Healthcare Center in Ronceverte, WV.

Bob was born Sept. 20, 1954, in Clifton Forge, VA. He is preceded in death by his parents James G. Straub of Murrells Inlet, SC, and Mary E. Straub of White Sulphur Springs. He is also preceded in death by his third wife Norma Tingler Straub.

He is survived by his children Kylene Lovejoy (James) of Morgantown, WV., Justin Straub (Jessica) of Ronceverte, WV., Lauren Straub of White Sulphur Springs, and nine grandchildren with another one on the way. He is also survived by his siblings Susan DeNolf of Myrtle Beach, SC, James Straub (Wendy) of Midlothian, VA, Joan Straub of Fairfax, VA, Mary Altenhof (Jeffrey) of Ashburn, VA, and two nieces and four nephews with one great niece and one great nephew.

There will be a visitation on Friday, May 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, White Sulphur Springs, WV.

A Catholic mass of burial will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, White Sulphur Springs, on Saturday, May 3, at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Mount Loretto Catholic Cemetery. All are welcome.
