Rita Louise Haynes, 61, passed away on July 21, 2026 at her beloved home in Union, WV. She was the wife of Myles Leon Brandon, whom she shared 14 years of life together.
She was born May 13, 1965 in Ronceverte, WV.
Rita graduated from Greenbrier East High School, attended school in Chesepeake, VA, and was a well known employee at many establishments until her health prevented her from working. She was of the Baptist Faith. Rita enjoyed playing games, watching cinema, eating good food and taking a long nap. She will be remembered for her generous kind heart, tender soul and good cooking.
Preceding Rita in death are her mother, Mary Ann cousins, father, James David Chandler, Jr.; grandfather, Eldridge Haynes, grandmother, Vivian Lucas, grandmother, Lucille Jackson, grandfather, James David Chandler, Sr.; grandchildren, Jaceyon Villines and Nori Villines; brothers, Rodney C. Haynes and Tony R. Haynes; sisters, Charlene D. Haynes and Kim L. Haynes.
She is survived by her eldest son, Anthony Villines from Charleston, WV, daughters, ShaRita Villines, Union, WV and daughter, Charlene Goss from Dallas, TX; son in law Jeremiah Abrams; granddaughters, Addalyn Villines, Anaysha Simmons and Zaniah Villines; Siblings, Tina Haynes of Alderson, WV, Mark Haynes, (Sherry Elliott-Haynes) of Lewisburg, WV, Curtis Haynes of Alderson, WV., Felecia Johnson of Charleston, WV, and a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
The Life Celebration will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 12 noon at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Pastor Greg Scott officiating. The family will receive family and friends from 11 a.m. until time of services.
Rita was a gentle soul whose hands and heart were always open. She was a woman of uncommon kindness and a generous spirit. She leaves behind the quiet reminder that love often found in grace, forgiveness and the small mercies we give one another. May she rest in everlasting peace and her light carried forward by every soul she touched, held in memory and in the gentle truths we come to understand with time.
