White Sulphur Springs-Richard Kimbal Thomson, 83, passed away Saturday, Mar. 16, 2019, at home.

Richard was born Aug. 11, 1935, in Deposit, NY, to the late Kimbal Thomson and Grace Payne Newman.

He was a retired underground excavator, having worked at the Back Creek Dam project.

Other than his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his oldest son, Randy Thomson and a brother, William Thomson.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Betty Thomson of White Sulphur Springs; daughter, Connie Toro and husband Vladimir of Hazleton, PA; sons, Jeffrey Thomson of White Sulphur Springs and Allan Thomson and wife Barbara of Spout Springs, VA; grandchildren, Richard Thomson (Rebecca), Jesse Thomson (Jamie), Shane Thomson, Derrek Thomson, Payton Thomson (Shani), Matthew Thomson (Brittany), Ryan Thomson (Cara). Amber Thomson and Evan Thomson; great-grandchildren, Waylon, Randi, Darren, Emma, Angel, Aubrey, Maisyn, Tristen, Charlette, Wesley, Landon, Chase, Aubrey, Liam, Scarlett and Heidi. He is also survived by a sister, Patti Hunt and husband Robert of Charleston, SC; and his beloved dog, Wellington.

Funeral services will be held in Walton, NY.
