Ronceverte-Richard D. “Dickie” Dolan, 77, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at his residence.
Dickie was born Jan. 27, 1940, in Ronceverte, the son of the late Julian L. and Maebelle Skaggs Dolan.
He was a US Army veteran and a retired equipment operator with the WV Paving Company.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Julian Dolan.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Erskine Dolan; daughters, Paula Dolan Clemons and husband Doug of Maxwelton and Lisa Dolan and companion Jess of Lewisburg; sons, Jerry Dolan and wife Carolyn of Frankford and Randy Dolan of Ronceverte; grandchildren, Bryan Dolan, Brandon Dolan, Emily Norman and husband Josh, Troy Clemons, Jaxon, Mace and Maddix; great-grandson, Thomas Norman; and sister, Charlotte Ackley of Fredericksburg, VA.
Funeral services for Dickie were held Saturday, Nov. 25, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte where Pastor Gary Baker officiated. Interment with Military Rites followed in Riverview Cemetery in Ronceverte.
The family received family and friends Saturday at the funeral home before the service.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the White Sulphur Springs Center, 345 Pocahontas Trail, White Sulphur Springs, WV 24986.
